If you are not able to add local media files from external hard disk, then Please try out the following steps for resolution:-

1) Kindly ensure that the hard disk is properly connected and you are able to access and open the file in your PC through the Explorer Menu on your Windows or Finder on your Mac Desktop.

2) Please try to restart the application.

3) Please try to reinstall the application.
