We recommend that you change the following settings on your WiFi router for a smooth experience while using the Teewe device
- Network security should be configured to WPA2/PSK. You can also try to set security as WPA in case WPA2 is not available. WEP is not a recommended security configuration though it is supported.
- AP isolation should be disabled. This will allow device to device communication over your WiFi network which is essential for the Teewe app and the Teewe dongle to communicate.
- Multicast should be enabled (and set to IGMP V3 if available). If you do not find Multicast or something similar, try to set IGMP proxy to “Enabled†if available.
- WiFi enhanced mode should be enabled. This setting is specific to D-Link Routers.
- Wireless Modes should be configured to "Mixed 802.11n, 802.11b and 802.11g".
- UPnP should be enabled. UPnP provides compatibility with networking equipment, software and peripherals.
- WMM should be enabled (if available).
- Mac Filtering should be disabled.
Some of these settings may not be available on your router or may be named differently as different brands use different conventions. Also, please search through all the sections on your router settings for these features as different routers may place these under different headers. Please try to set the ones that you can find to the recommended settings.
Once you have made the necessary changes and saved them on the router, please reboot your router. Make sure that the router is broadcasting the WiFi signal after you have rebooted it. Now, reboot the Teewe device and try to set it up on your WiFi network.
